Creating a Route
Download a list of jobs in CSV format from Inspectorade, by clicking Export>Spreadsheet (CSV) after selecting all your jobs. Do this for your open inspections, and also for any follow-ups you have as well (if you want them included in the route). It is suggested that you export all the jobs in your queue, you can select which jobs to put on your route later in this process. NOTE: you should not open the CSV file in any program, only Inspector IQ. There is an option to remove jobs within.
Next, open Inspector IQ and open the menu at top-left. Here you can enable the options to change your start and\or end address or allow for custom addresses that aren't in the list you exported from inspectorade. Once you are ready to create the route, click Start Session.
Next you will be prompted to select the job list you exported from inspectorade.com, both the main jobs and the followup jobs.
If you selected in the previous step that you have custom jobs to add, you can do so when prompted. Add an address to the corresponding cell on the table. A Job ID will be automatically assigned to the entry. After you type or paste in the complete address, press enter and the application will attempt to locate it's coordinates. If it fails, you can either change the address, or add the coordinates yourself. Then you can proceed to add another address in the next row. Press Submit and Close when done.
NOTE: If not using Inspector IQ in-car, you can export the route by clicking Select\Deselect, then Select All Jobs. Then in the main menu at Top-Left, and select one of the options under Route Options > Export Selected Jobs.
Otherwise, continue following the steps below.
Otherwise, continue following the steps below.
Once you are in-route, each job shows in its own panel, in routing order (see photo)
While navigation, you can interact with the GPS overlay at the top of your screen. Here you would end navigation by either stating the property was vacant or occupied. If vacant, any required vacancy certifications will be shown on-screen, allowing you to take a photo. If using Windows Maps and an address was not located, you can retry navigation using coordinates for exact routing.
